Learn how to cook "Pork with vegetables and baked apple cider". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 1.2 kilograms of pork fish
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 diced carrot
  • 2 stalks of celery, finely chopped
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3/4 tea cup apple cider
  • 1/4 tea cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat to 150 degrees.

Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste.

Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a cast iron skillet. Fry the meat in it for a few minutes on each side to get a crispy crust. Set aside.

Pour the remaining olive oil into the pan and fry the onion, carrot and celery until browned. Add the garlic and when it releases its aroma, return the meat to the pan. Add cider, vinegar, broth and tomato sauce. Stir and add the spices. Cover and bake for 3 hours under a lid. Do not increase the oven temperature or shorten the time if you want to enjoy the most flavorful dish.

Serve the meat with the vegetables, pouring the sauce separated during the roasting.

If you want to thicken the sauce while it is hot, add a little flour dissolved in water and return to the oven for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Another option is to serve the dish with boiled mashed potatoes, which will add density to each portion.
