You can't eat raw potatoes, it's not even good for the body, and you can't get the vitamins of the fruit from your compote ...
The fact is that today we are too busy with harmful foods : canned, semi-finished, pasta, rich in sugars, harmful fats, etc., plus we do not burn the amount of calories we consume. People are burdened by overweight, we are threatened by diabetes and cardiovascular disease and Bulgarians, alas, we are already at the top of all sorts of unpleasant rankings in this regard, our children are also affected.
Today, more than 2 million Bulgarians are overweight , according to the Bulgarian Association for the Study of Obesity and Concomitant Diseases. More than 500,000 Bulgarians suffer from diabetes, according to our national consultant in endocrinology and metabolic diseases. About 67% of the mortality in Bulgaria according to the NSI is due to cardiovascular diseases or otherwise represented by 1500 deaths 1000 are due to cardiovascular reasons !!!
A factor for this black statistic is not only the predisposition that Bulgarians obviously carry in their genes regarding cardiovascular diseases, but above all in their way of life - nutrition is of the utmost importance, so if we live well we have to we are interested in how to eat healthily, extracting the benefits from all known methods and diets.
The big disadvantage of the foods we consume mainly today is that they are rich in harmful fats and simple carbohydrates, which reflect on metabolism, bring high levels of bad LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood , which favors the development of atherosclerosis, this in combination with high blood sugar, creates the preconditions for diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The bonus to the picture is that there is no satisfied person from those who eat only packaged foods or those from fast food restaurants - the hormones are confused, the stress on the brain and body is even greater ...

According to experts, even a small dietary adjustment can bring the desired health results. For example, consuming 400 g of fruits and vegetables a day in exchange for other foods reduces the risk of stroke by 6%. This is, for example, a large rich salad and fruit for breakfast between meals. According to other luminaries, even just one portion of raw fruits or vegetables (100 g) inserted in our usual regime bring similar benefits - this is an apple, for example.
Of course, without reducing the amount of saturated fat consumed (these are fats mainly of animal origin), sugar and white flour and salt, the change for the better in our own body tissues can not happen.
