Required products :

  • 650 grams of sweet apples, diced (peeled)
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 110 grams of self-swelling flour
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 40 grams of cold butter
  • 2 tablespoons oatmeal

Method of preparation :

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (if using a fan, keep the temperature at 180 degrees).

Put the apples in a saucepan and sprinkle with white sugar, vanilla and add 1 tablespoon and a half of water. Cook until soft (if the fruit is not sweet enough, you can add more sugar). Transfer the mixture to a pan.

Mix the flour, brown sugar and butter and rub with your fingers to get crumbs. Add the oatmeal and sprinkle the apples with the resulting mixture to cover them tightly.

Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with cream of choice or ice cream.
