Necessary products

For the dough:

500 grams of flour

1 teaspoon warm milk

50 grams of melted butter

1 egg

pinch of salt

For the stuffing:

300 - 350 grams of peeled pistachios

250 grams of powdered sugar

For syrup:

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon water

50 grams of butter

ground cinnamon

Method of preparation:

The dough

Sift the flour, make a hollow in it and pour the milk, put the egg, butter, salt. Knead an elastic dough, cover it immediately with a damp cloth and leave it like this.

The stuffing

Grind the pistachios together with the powdered sugar with the help of a blender.

Syrup

Melt the butter in a suitable bowl, add the sugar and cinnamon. When the sugar has melted, pour in the water and wait for everything to boil.

It's time to "assemble" the baklava .

Divide the dough into pieces and roll each of them very thinly, almost to transparency. Then grease with melted butter and sprinkle with the filling of walnuts and powdered sugar. Now you will need a thin long stick (similar to that for Chinese food). Roll the dough with the filling like a roll around it, fold the stick at both ends so as to obtain a "caterpillar" and then take it out. Pinch the edges. Do this procedure with the rest of the dough. Arrange the "rolls" prepared in this way in a pan greased with oil. Divide the syrup into 3 parts. Pour the baklava with one and put it in a preheated oven to 180 degrees. After 20 minutes, add the second part and bake for another 40-45 minutes. And 5 minutes before removing the dessert, pour the remaining amount.

Enjoy your meal!
