Required products :

  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • olive oil
  • 150 grams of chorizo
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 200 grams of barley
  • 2 cans of 400 grams of chopped tomatoes
  • 4 cubes of vegetable broth dissolved in 1.8 liters of water
  • 500 kale or spinach

Method of preparation :

Fry the chorizo, cut into small pieces, remove a quarter of the mixture.

In a saucepan add the finely chopped vegetables (carrots, onions and celery) and bay leaf. Fry for 10 minutes until soft.

Add barley, tomatoes, pour the broth. Mix everything well before boiling the liquid. Cook on low heat for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cut the spinach or kale, add it to the broth, season to taste with salt and pepper.

Divide into bowls and top with the separated wage, pour a little olive oil.
