Required products :

1/4 medium cabbage
1 onion
400 grams flour
7 grams dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1 - 1.5 teaspoons warm water
oil for spreading bread and frying
green spices of your choice and taste

 

Method of preparation :

Finely chop the onion and cabbage and fry them until golden in hot oil. Then close the jar with a lid and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until soft. Season with salt and ground black pepper. You can add your favorite green spices as desired, but do not overdo it. Be sure to allow the mixture to cool.

Sift the flour into a large bowl and add the salt, sugar and yeast. If you use live yeast, first dissolve it in a little warm water and add 2 teaspoons of sugar.

You should add the vegetable stuffing and make a dough with a wooden spoon, gradually pouring warm water. Knead it for 10 minutes on the kitchen counter.

 

Shape into a ball, grease with oil and return to the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or towel and store in a warm place for 2 hours, it should rise.

 

During this time, the dough will double in volume. Knead it once more, expelling the air. Divide into equal parts, form cakes from them. Grease them with oil and arrange in a tray, on the bottom of which you put a sheet of parchment.

 

Cover with a towel, leave for 20 minutes in a warm place, then bake in a preheated oven to 220 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and let the cakes cook for another 20 minutes. The exact time depends on the oven itself, so watch and orient yourself by color. When they acquire a beautiful golden color, they are ready.
