Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 100 g butter
  • 0.5 liters of fresh milk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3-4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp Sol
  • 10 g of active dry yeast
  • 3-4 tsp flour

For the stuffing:

apple jam or sugar and cinnamon

Method of preparation:

Dissolve the yeast in 1/4 teaspoon of warm water and add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Leave for 20 minutes in a warm place. The yeast should double in volume. In a large saucepan, melt half the butter and add the sugar, Stir. Let cool a bit and add the yeast. In another bowl, heat the milk (for example about 37 degrees) and pour it into the pan with the sugar and yeast. Stir again. Add the eggs, salt and gradually add the flour. Pour it in portions, stirring well after adding each. Add flour until the dough starts to stick to the hands and walls of the bowl. Then leave it warm, cover with a towel and let rise. When its volume has increased 3 times, make holes in several places with the help of a wooden spoon to let the air out and put it back in a warm place to increase its volume once more.

When the dough is ready, place it on a plate sprinkled with flour. Cut small pieces out of it and shape them into balls. Arrange them on a board, cover with a towel and leave for 30 minutes.

While the dough rests, make the filling. We offer you two options: first - a mixture of sugar and cinnamon; second - thick apple jam. Melt the butter.

Take a ball of dough, roll it to a thickness of 0.8 cm, spread with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll into a roll, then, like a spiral, curl the edges and leave the rolls for 30 minutes to increase their volume a bit.

If you use apple jam, roll out the balls of dough and put 1 tbsp of the filling. The rest is the same as for cooking with cinnamon and sugar. Bake until a beautiful golden crust forms.

Enjoy your meal!
