Required products :

250 grams of chickpeas
250 grams of rice
200 milliliters of olive oil
2-3 onions
1-2 lemons
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Soak chickpeas in advance in water for some time, bring to a boil.
When it starts to thicken, remove from the heat. Drain the liquid with a colander, placing a container under it to store it, as it will be used later.
Finely chop the onion and fry it in olive oil over low heat.
Wash the rice, pour it over the onion and stir 2-3 times. Pour the broth left over from the preparation of chickpeas (about 600-700 milliliters), put the chickpeas themselves, mix everything thoroughly. Season with salt to taste and 12-15 later increase the heat. When the rice starts to soften, remove the pan from the heat. Add black pepper to taste, stir, cover the dish with a towel, then close with a lid so that the grains absorb all the liquid. After 20 minutes, stir again and add the juice of 1-2 lemons.
The dish is ready.
Enjoy your meal!
