Required products :
220 grams of butter at room temperature
200 grams of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
4 eggs
70 grams of crushed hazelnuts
180 grams of flour a
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons (topped) cocoa powder
130 milliliters of dark rum
100 grams of dark chocolate
peel of 1 orange
For the glaze:
egg white 1 large egg
1 teaspoon lemon juice
about 500 grams powdered sugar (to obtain a thick glaze)
Method of preparation :
Beat the butter with the sugar until white. Then add the eggs one by one and beat well after each.
Add salt, baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa and crushed hazelnuts to the flour. Combine with the butter mixture, add the grated orange peel, cardamom and vanilla sugar. Pour the rum and pre-melted chocolate. Stir.
Grease with oil a suitable form, sprinkle it with flour and pour the dough into it.
Bake the cake for about an hour in an oven preheated to 175 degrees. Check readiness with a toothpick.
Wait ten minutes before removing it from the dish.
Make a glaze, beating the egg whites with the lemon juice, gradually adding the powdered sugar.
Apply the sweet coating on the cooled cake and decorate as desired.
