Required products :

  • 1 cup crushed walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons + 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup full sour cream
  • 1 medium apple, cut into thin slices
  • 3/4 tea cup of chocolate chips

Method of preparation :

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a deep pan and place a round piece of baking paper on the bottom.

Mix the walnuts, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar.

In the bowl of the mixer, beat the butter with 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar until you get a fluffy cream.

Add the eggs, vanilla and beat again to combine.

Sift the dry ingredients together twice, then add them to the liquid ones together with the sour cream. Alternate flour and cream, finishing with the dairy product. Do not overdo the stirring.

Pour the chocolate chips and mix with a silicone spatula.

Pour half of the dough into the prepared pan and arrange the apple slices on top.

Sprinkle with half of the mixture of nuts and cover with the remaining dough. Flatten and sprinkle the cake with the remaining nut mixture. Bake for 40 minutes until ready, check with a stick if the cake is ready.

Cool completely before removing from the pan.
