Sangria is a traditional Spanish alcoholic beverage. The name comes from the Spanish word sangre (blood), because of the red color of the wine.

Here we present one of the most popular recipes for making sangria. The ingredients are for 6 cups.

Necessary products:

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 1 orange
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon rum
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 bottle (750 milliliters) of dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon orange juice

Method of preparation

Before cooking, cool the wine, rum, fruit and orange juice.

Cut the lemon, lime and orange into thin slices and place them in a large glass jug. Pour in the rum and sugar. Leave the jug in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.

After removing from the refrigerator, lightly crush the fruit with a wooden spoon. Add the wine and orange juice to the jug and stir.

If necessary, add a little more sugar. Serve in wine glasses and garnish with a slice of lemon. Cheers!
