Learn how to cook "Cottage cheese casserole with caramelized apples". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

500-550 grams of cottage cheese
3 eggs
80-100 grams of brown sugar (can be replaced with white)
4-5 tablespoons semolina
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1 packet of vanilla sugar (8 grams) a
pinch of baking soda a
little breadcrumbs

For the caramel fruit coating:

8-9 tablespoons sugar
60 grams butter
5-6 hard medium-sized sour green apples
5-7 drops of lemon juice
2-3 tablespoons water

Method of preparation :

Pass the curd through a sieve, add a pinch of baking soda, semolina, cinnamon, vanilla and mix everything thoroughly.

Separate the yolks from the whites and mix the first ones with the brown sugar for 2-3 minutes. Then add to the curd.

Beat the egg whites with a mixer until a thick foam is obtained and then pour over the other products. Mix the dough with a spoon, scooping from top to bottom.

Cut the apples into pieces, which you clean from the core with the seeds.

Pour 8-9 tablespoons of sugar in a hot pan, pour water. The sugar should acquire the consistency of moist sea sand. Stir constantly until the mixture turns yellow (about 2-3 minutes).

Then add the butter, and when it melts - and the apple pieces. They should be caramelized (for 8-10 minutes).

If the fruit is very juicy and secretes a large amount of juice, it is better to drain some of it, because otherwise the apples will boil. An option is to fry them quickly several times.

Grease the inside of a suitable baking dish with oil or grease and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Arrange the apples in it, you can pour extra caramel. Spread the curd dough on them, level the surface and place the dish in the oven. Bake the dessert at a temperature of 200 degrees for about 30-40 minutes (the exact time depends on the thickness of the layer and your oven).
Check readiness with a toothpick.

When the finished casserole has cooled, separate it from the walls of the pan and turn it on a suitable flat dish with a sharp quick movement. So the apples will be on the surface.

Enjoy your meal!
