How To Cook Easter Cake With Poppy Seeds And Sesame Seeds - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Easter cake with poppy seeds and sesame seeds". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

1/2 teaspoon warm water
1/4 teaspoon oil or butter
2 eggs + 1 yolk
3 - 3.5 teaspoons flour
1/4 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt

1 egg white + 2 tablespoons water to spread
poppy seeds and sesame seeds for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

In a suitable bowl, mix the water, butter, two eggs plus the yolk and mix thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the sugar, yeast and salt. Make a recess in the middle in which to put the liquid mixture and stir for 2 minutes. Knead the dough. If necessary, use a little more flour and knead for 8 minutes. The dough should be elastic and not stick to the hands and walls of the dish.
Transfer it to a floured surface and shape into a ball. Then put in a bowl that you have greased with oil, cover and leave to rise in a warm place (for about an hour and a half).

Cover the bottom of a large tray with parchment and set it aside for a moment.

Knead the risen dough once more and divide it into 5 equal parts. Shape each into a long strip and knit the Easter cake. Put it in the prepared pan, cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place until it rises (45-75 minutes).

Make the glaze by beating the egg whites with water.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.

Spread the surface of the risen dough with the beaten egg whites, sprinkle with poppy seeds and sesame seeds, then bake until golden in the preheated oven (about 30-40 minutes).

Enjoy your meal!
