Required products :

  • variation of vegetables - onions, carrots, celery, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms and more
  • Optional spices - salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf and others
  • Water

Method of preparation :

Put the vegetables and spices in a saucepan and cover with water.

Heat until the mixture boils, then reduce the temperature and simmer for a few hours.

When the broth has a rich aroma and dense color, remove the vegetables and use the broth.

Some tips and useful information :

If you do not want to stay all day by the stove, put the vegetables in cheesecloth and cook them on a high heat for 1 hour, then reduce the temperature and reduce to the desired density.

Store the broth in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or in the freezer in jars.

Leftover vegetables make a great broth, store them every time you prepare different dishes. Just put the leftovers in bags and store in the freezer.

Freeze the broth in an ice cube tray, then remove the cubes. Two of them equate to half a cup of broth.
