Few people know that wheat bread is stored no more than 40 hours after baking, and rye bread - a little longer, but not more than 72 hours. The bread we buy from the store is usually available in plastic wrap, but most often it is already cut and dries quickly. Therefore, the question of whether to store it in such an envelope or not is not particularly important in this case.

In many European homes, freshly baked bread is stored unpackaged with the cut side down. The product, which is prepared only from the main ingredients or contains little yeast, will be preserved for several days.

The paper preserves the bread well, as it allows a certain amount of air to circulate around it.

Another good way to store it is to use a cloth bag. The same work can be done with a large towel or just a piece of cloth. The fabric keeps the bread fresh and allows it to breathe. However, it should be noted that slices stored in a piece of cloth dry quickly.

 

It is good to keep different types of bread separately. For example, white has the ability to quickly absorb the aroma of black. As a result, white bread becomes tasteless and atypical (as a taste).
