Necessary products:

For the dough:

  • 250 milliliters of fresh milk
  • 3 - 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 packet vanilla sugar
  • 500 grams of flour
  • 6 grams of dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 50 grams of butter
  • yolk for spreading

For cream:

  • 250 milliliters of fresh milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 - 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 packet vanilla sugar
  • 20 grams of butter

Method of preparation:

To prepare the dough, first melt the butter, cool, add the beaten egg, warm milk, sugar, vanilla as well, salt. Mix the flour with dry quick-acting yeast, pour in the milk mixture and knead a sticky dough. Cover it with a towel and leave for an hour - an hour and a half in a warm place. When it rises, knead again briefly and leave for another 30-40 minutes. Divide the finished dough into 16 - 18 parts.

Make a cream while you wait for the second leavening. To do this, mix the egg with the flour and 2-3 tablespoons of milk, mix well until the lumps disappear. put the remaining milk with the sugar on the stove until it boils. Pour a thin stream of hot milk into the flour mixture, stirring. Put everything on low heat, add the vanilla sugar. Bring to a boil until thickened, stirring constantly. When removed from the heat, add the butter, stir and allow the cream to cool.

Roll out each piece of dough into an oval shape. Put an incomplete spoonful of cream almost in the middle, make cross cuts on one side of the dough without cutting to the end. Cover the cream with the other side, pressing the edges of the dough.

Finish the rolls, closing the side with the incisions. Arrange them in a pan greased with oil or lined with baking paper and leave for 30 minutes in a warm place.

Then spread with beaten egg yolk and put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes (until ready) - you should get a beautiful golden color.

Store the finished rolls in a plastic bag (once cooled, of course).

Enjoy your meal!
