Required products :

  • 2 teaspoons mashed potatoes, cold
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour / or more if needed /
  • 1 cup grated yellow cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup diced tea
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • frying oil
For sprinkling :
  • shredded Bulgarian yellow cheese
  • green onions, finely chopped

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, cheese and eggs. The mixture should be thick enough to form meatballs, so add more flour if necessary.
  • Add the ham, onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper and stir.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and pour enough oil to cover the bottom.
  • Shape the meatballs and fry for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Do not overfill the pan, as the temperature will drop sharply and the meatballs will become greasy.
  • Remove them with a slotted spoon on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Serve the potato meatballs warm, sprinkled with grated yellow cheese and finely chopped green onions.

Enjoy your meal!
