Learn how to cook "Rice in tomato sauce with garlic and leeks". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

1 teaspoon rice (long grain)
1 stalk leek
1 tomato
1-2 cloves garlic
4-5 tablespoons olive oil
3-4 sprigs dill and parsley
spices to taste: lemon juice, salt, pepper, nutmeg, chili pepper

Method of preparation :

Boil the rice in slightly salted water (ratio 1: 2).

Crush the garlic cloves with a knife and fry them in hot olive oil until they darken and flavor the fat.

Cut leeks into circles about 3-4 millimeters thick (usually only the white part is used, but you can cut to the beginning of the leaves), fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring.

Grate the rind of the lemon when leeks.

Steam the tomato, peel it, clean the seeds and grind the meat in a blender until puree. Season with salt, ground black pepper, nutmeg (on the tip of a knife) and sugar (1/2 teaspoon). Pour 1/2 cup boiling water and pour the combination into a bowl with leeks. Let the sauce simmer over medium heat for 7-8 minutes without closing with a lid.

Put the cooked rice in a suitable dish and make a recess in the middle. Fill it with tomato sauce, which is thick enough and will not spill.

Sprinkle the dish with finely chopped fresh dill and parsley. You can sprinkle with crushed hot pepper.

Serve hot.

Enjoy your meal!
