How To Cook Salty Bread Cake With Bacon And Cheese - Recipe

Required products :

  • 300 grams of diced bacon
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/4 tea cup fresh milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 baguette, cut into cubes about 2 centimeters in size
  • 2 tea cups grated yellow cheese
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method of preparation :

 

  • Separate 2 tablespoons of bacon and bake the rest in a non-stick pan until lightly browned. Transfer to kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a fork, add the milk and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the bread cubes to a plastic bag with a closing mechanism, pour the egg mixture on top and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of yellow cheese and baked bacon.
  • Close the bag, shake gently and let stand for at least 30 minutes so that the bread is well soaked with milk and eggs.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease with oil a round baking dish with a diameter of about 21 centimeters.
  • Pour the contents of the bag into the form and lightly press the mixture down and to the sides of the vessel walls.
  • Spread the remaining yellow cheese and the reserved raw bacon / 2 tablespoons / on top and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake the cake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Wait 5 minutes before removing it from the pan and cutting into pieces.
  • Serve the salty cake warm, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
