How To Cook Stewed Shrimp In Tomato Sauce With Onion, Garlic And Parsley - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1/3 tea cup olive oil
  • 1/3 tea cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely grated
  • 3/4 tea glass of dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 400 grams of canned tomatoes, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 650 grams of whole shrimp, well washed and drained
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

For garnish :

  • lemon slices
  • parsley

Method of preparation :

 

  • Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the breadcrumbs and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  • Clean the pan with kitchen paper and heat the remaining olive oil in it.
  • Stew onions for 1 minute, add garlic and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Carefully add the wine, tomato paste and mashed tomatoes.
  • Stir and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the sauce has simmered, spread the shrimp in the pan, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Turn them in the middle to suffocate evenly.
  • Add the fried breadcrumbs and chopped fresh parsley and mix gently.
  • Season with freshly squeezed lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley.
  • Serve the stewed shrimp warm and enjoy.
