Required products :

  • 2 and 1/8 cups sugar
  • 2 cups soft butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 7 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (or other) + 1 teaspoon to lubricate
  • 1 tablespoon warm water (or more if not needed)

* A tea cup is used to measure the quantities.

Method of preparation :

biscuits:

Mix until smooth in a bowl the sugar, butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Add the eggs and egg yolks gradually, stirring constantly. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Pour the flour mixture into the bowl with the sugar mixture and homogenize. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 190 degrees. Cover the bottom of a baking tray with parchment paper and grease it with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1.4 cm on a floured surface and cut biscuits with shapes of your choice. Arrange them in the prepared pan at a distance of 5 cm from each other and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool.

glaze:

Stir in the powdered sugar, 1/4 cup coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add enough warm water, stirring constantly, to obtain the desired consistency. If desired, you can add different food colors. Decorate the biscuits with the icing, leave for a few minutes to dry and serve.
