Required products :

  • 600 grams of cherry tomatoes
  • 4-5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil or a mixture of Italian herbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 200 grams of old bread
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 20 grams of parsley
  • 100-150 grams of yellow cheese

Method of preparation :

Grease the bottom of a suitable form (in this case a container with a diameter of 26 cm) with olive oil.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and place them in the pan. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, spices and stir.

Remove the crusts of bread, and cut the soft part into large cubes (if you do not have old bread, you can dry fresh in a pan or oven).

In a blender, mix the parsley with the garlic, two pinches of salt and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Beat until smooth, add the breadcrumbs and turn on the appliance again for about a minute (the bread should turn into crumbs that mix well with the spices and fat).

In the resulting combination pour 100-150 grams of grated cheese, stir and distribute the mixture evenly over the tomatoes.

Place the form in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 12-15 minutes. When the surface turns red, cover the dish with aluminum foil and return to the oven for another 25-30 minutes (bubbles should form at the edges of the tomato juice).
