The rectum or rectum (from Latin) represents the final end of the large intestine. In addition to conservative therapy (medication) and surgery in the more advanced stages, diet is also important for the treatment of the disease.
 
Restoration of normal defecation is essential - at least once a day, as one of the risk factors for the disease is constipation. Suitable whole grains - oatmeal, brown rice, legumes - beans, lentils, beans. Patients should increase their consumption of more fruits and vegetables (cabbage, broccoli), as they are rich sources of fiber and - both soluble and insoluble. Insoluble fiber is associated with improving the passage of food through the intestines.
 
 
 
Drinking more fluids is also important for preventing constipation. The recommended daily intake of water is 6-8 glasses of water or about 2 liters per day. This amount of liquids does not include the consumption of soups, coffee or juices.
 
It has been found that the intake of spicy foods, spicy spices, as well as alcohol leads to additional discomfort in those suffering from hemorrhoids, which is why it is recommended to stop taking them. Spicy foods cause irritation and may increase the inflammatory response of hemorrhoids, while excessive alcohol intake can lead to delayed intestinal passage and is therefore a prerequisite for constipation.
 
Often, increased consumption of foods rich in fiber leads to increased flatulence and bloating and the appearance of pain and additional discomfort. For this reason, a gradual change in diet is recommended , with consistent replacement of whole grains from the menu with whole grains.
