It also plays a role in controlling blood pressure. The magnesium content in the seeds provides 81% of our daily needs for it. This beneficial effect is probably due to the presence of potassium in the seed.

These compositions slow down aging and nourish the skin. Consumption of seeds can have a beneficial effect not only against wrinkles , but also in overcoming acne , according to some experts. The complex also has a beneficial effect on vision.

Other trace elements that are worth mentioning are iron, calcium, copper, manganese, phosphorus, selenium and zinc .

About 21 out of a hundred grams of seeds are protein. They are a good source of useful amino acids such as lysine , which helps the body's defenses against certain viruses. They also contain tryptophan , necessary for the synthesis of serotonin, thanks to which we can enjoy a good mood , memory and fight aggression.

As useful as the seeds are, it should not be forgotten that they carry a lot of calories. Consumption of 300 grams is equal to our daily caloric needs. Undoubtedly, when we combine them with other foods, it will affect our figure, so the amount of them must be careful.

Half of the mass of seeds is fat, with saturated amounts to 4.5 g, monounsaturated are another 19 g. The rest are polyunsaturated - the most useful for the body.
