3-day Fasting Restores The Immune System ?!

This finding may be particularly useful for people whose immunity is shaken - for example in cancer patients after chemotherapy.

Three days of fasting "restarts" the immune system , according to a new study by scientists from the United States.

They found that when starving, the body expelled unnecessary and damaged cells from the body .

And once a person starts eating again, the body produces new white blood cells , which rejuvenates and restores the immune system.

Although most nutritionists have criticized starvation, arguing that it harms the body , US researchers say the formation of new white blood cells (leukocytes) helps the body fight infections .

Fasting also reduces the level of the enzyme protein kinase , which is associated with aging. The amount of hormones, the presence of which increases the risk of cancer, is also decreasing, the scientists point out.

However, they warn that resorting to starvation should be done only under the supervision of experienced doctors and nutritionists, so as not to cause harm to the body.

In addition, curative fasting should not last more than three days.
