Consumption of certain foods can help not only to lose weight, but also to relieve chronic pain.
Chronic pain is classified as that pain which persists or develops over a long period of time, more than three months. Of this nature are back pain, arthritis , osteoarthritis and others.
According to experts, the consumption of certain foods can help not only to reduce excess weight and good health, but also to relieve chronic pain.
1. Whole grains
No matter in what form they are consumed, whether as bread, muesli and others, whole grains have a beneficial effect on vital functions and systems in the body.
In addition to fiber, whole grains are rich in magnesium. The mineral has been shown to help relieve and reduce musculoskeletal pain.
2. Olive oil
Due to its rich content of polyphenols, olive oil helps reduce the overall pain caused by various mechanical actions.
Olive oil reduces bone fragility, which reduces the risk of injury and fractures.
3. Ginger
Apart from being a spice, ginger has a beneficial effect on the body. In the healing practice are used mainly the roots of the plant, which contain various essential oils, proteins, lipids, lecithin, beta-carotene, fatty acids, proteases (protein-digesting enzymes) and others.
According to experts, ginger root extract reduces pain and muscle tension after exercise. In some cases, its action is similar to ibuprofen.
4. Nuts
Almonds, walnuts and other nuts are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and anti-oxidants that help control and reduce pain.
5. Vegetables
Spinach and other iron-rich vegetables help strengthen bones and reduce joint pain. Their use is recommended for people suffering from osteoarthritis.
6. A glass of wine
According to some studies, the presence of resveratrol in wine and grapes may have an analgesic effect, similar to aspirin. However, it is not recommended to overdo the consumption of wine because of the alcohol content.
