Nutritionists recommend eating five servings of fresh fruits or vegetables a day. Undoubtedly, this brings countless benefits to the body, and as many as seven servings of nature's gifts a day are even able to "save lives ", scientists say.
Well, it may not make us immortal, but it will certainly prolong our existence.
This proves a new study among 65,226 people, which confirmed the findings that eating fresh and healthy food protects us from cancer, heart disease and generally improves the overall condition of the body and guarantees us a few more years.
Researchers from the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College London analyzed data collected in a 7-year survey, in which participants indicated their eating habits.
The study found that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables reduces the risk of premature death by about 50%. This is because they contain many vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.
Scientists say that we can not replace with fresh fruit juice because juice does not have the same characteristics and do not contribute much to the health of influencing body. And yet - compotes are not healthy at all because of their high sugar content, and all processed fruits and vegetables even have a negative effect on the body.

However, the promotion of healthy eating also requires a specific policy in each country, through which governments and health authorities to inform the public about the beneficial effects of healthy food, say, nutrition experts.
