Angina

The angina sufferer should follow a balanced, low-protein diet and have a limited amount of carbohydrates and fats.

Angina (acute tonsillitis) is an infectious disease that causes inflammation of the tonsils. Prerequisites for development are: sudden temperature changes, air pollution, poor nutrition, decreased immunity, colds and more. Angina is caused by various bacteria, viruses and fungi. There are varieties of infection.

In addition to medication, it is good to follow a balanced, low-protein diet during the illness and to limit the amount of carbohydrates and fats. The diet should be at least 6 times a day, and the dishes should be ground and wheat bran, vegetables with high content of iron and amino acids should be added to them. It is necessary to take a lot of fluids rich in vitamins.

Products useful for angina:

  • cottage cheese, pudding, eggs, bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, watermelon, pasta, mashed vegetables, minced meat, cheese, milkshakes (in limited quantities), "soft" products that are sources of calcium, vitamin C and fiber ;
  • salty meat and fish broths - a large amount of salt reduces the pain of swallowing;
  • fruit ice cream in small doses - gives the effect of a "cool bath" for the throat, reduces the growth of viruses and bacteria;
  • fruit and vegetable juices - contain the necessary calories;
  • tea with lemon or milk, herbal tea with lemon, decoctions of raspberry twigs, wheat bran and rose hips, fresh fruit - there are many vitamins in them;
  • semolina, ground buckwheat porridge, rice;
  • potatoes, carrots, beets, pumpkin, cauliflower, ripe tomatoes, zucchini - contain the necessary amino acids. From these products, vegetable puree or souffle is easily prepared;
  • it is recommended to consume ripe berries and soft fruits in the form of mousses, pickles, compotes, jellies.

Harmful products for angina

The use of coffee should be limited, do not consume alcoholic beverages, spices, spicy dishes, "rough" food.
