Buckwheat groats
It is considered one of the most delicious and useful dietary products. It has fewer carbohydrates than other cereals and is a valuable dietary protein product. Buckwheat is rich in vitamins, amino acids and trace elements. It has a high content of iron, calcium, phosphorus, and iodine. What is buckwheat good for?
Buckwheat is rich in fiber, which helps to cleanse the intestines. It is an excellent remedy, created by nature itself, to prevent the problem of constipation. In addition, it detoxifies the liver, strengthens capillaries and lowers cholesterol. Buckwheat is also known to help with osteoarthritis and diseases of the abdominal cavity. There is an opinion that buckwheat even helps to get rid of mild depression, as it raises the level of dopamine. But the most important and wonderful property of groats for those who decide on a buckwheat diet is that buckwheat, which belongs to complex carbohydrates, is slowly absorbed by the body, providing it with a feeling of satiety for a long time.
Iryna Rubchenko, nutritionist : "I would say that this diet is for very healthy and lazy people. After all, in order to decide on a mono-diet, you need to have a very healthy body that works without failures. Although this cereal really has many useful properties and has proven itself as a dietary product. The beauty of a mono-diet is that you don't need to count calories, run around the shops in search of the necessary products, and eat food strictly by the hour. That is why many go on a buckwheat diet and do not regret it - kilograms literally melt before their eyes.
But consider the "cons" of the buckwheat diet. Yes, I would still recommend consulting a nutritionist before deciding to torture your body with one product for at least a week. For example, buckwheat diet is contraindicated for people with gastrointestinal tract problems. Ulcer, chronic gastritis can become worse. It will not suit you even if you play sports or your work involves physical exertion. Because already after one or two days of "sitting" on a diet, you will feel noticeable weakness, lethargy and even sleepiness. Even if you are completely healthy, you should not practice the buckwheat diet during a period of serious mental stress - it is better to transfer it to a time of rest, for example, while on vacation.
And more. Remember that, as a rule, the achievements of the buckwheat diet are short-term. Get out of it smoothly, continuing to limit yourself in caloric food, otherwise the lost kilograms will quickly return.
Buckwheat diet
The useful properties of buckwheat will be preserved if it is not boiled, but brewed with boiling water. It is better to do it in the evening, then in the morning you will get buckwheat porridge ready for use.
Mandatory condition: salt, sugar or any seasonings cannot be added to buckwheat. Butter is also banned. You can eat buckwheat prepared in this way in any quantity, however, you will understand this yourself - do not eat a lot of it. The last meal should be no later than 3-4 hours before bedtime.
What to drink on a buckwheat diet?
If you want to achieve the maximum effect, then try to limit yourself to water: purified or without gas. However, keep an eye on your health. After all, this diet completely deprives you of glucose, which is so necessary for the full functioning of the brain. Therefore, if you notice a deterioration in the mental process, take immediate action. Drink a honey drink: a teaspoon of honey diluted in a glass of water. Do not worry: the received glucose will reach the brain, and not be deposited in problem areas. But it is better to refuse coffee and tea, even without sugar. However, if it is difficult at all, then you can afford an apple or an orange.
How to get off the diet?
The main rule is not to rush into food the day after the end of the diet. And the kilograms will quickly return, and the body can be harmed. Try to keep your diet to 600-700 calories the first week after the diet. Optimal products: boiled egg, vegetable salads, lean meat or fish. Now you can afford a cup of sweet tea a day: a small amount of sugar will only benefit you.
In the next 2-3 weeks, try to keep your diet within 1200-1500 calories. At the same time, food should be varied. Try to exclude fatty, sweet and floury food.
You should repeat the buckwheat diet no more than 2 times a year, and only if you do not have chronic diseases of housing and the cardiovascular system.
