All these substances benefit the body, providing it with the necessary, positively affecting the immune, cardiovascular and nervous systems.
Their consumption is recommended for stomach problems, ulcers, gastritis, anemia, diarrhea. Chufa nuts are eaten raw, roasted or blanched. They are suitable for diabetics and contain neither gluten nor lactose. In addition, their intake reduces the levels of bad cholesterol by fighting free radicals.
Processed in the form of powder, chufa stimulates wound healing and milk production, improves the intestinal flora. The earth almond produces a drink called "orchata de chufa", which is consumed cold and consumed by athletes, pregnant and lactating women, people under chronic stress and mental fatigue. It resembles a milk drink with nut extract.
Chufa is also used in cooking, especially in vegan cuisine, and is widely used to make flour, marzipan, halva, honey, cream and other desserts. It is characterized by wonderful taste qualities, close to those of hazelnuts and almonds, so it is consumed raw. The best way to store it is to dry or freeze.
