How to equip your kitchen to feel like a "fish in the water" or rather like a chef in the kitchen? Let's look into this issue together.

Knives

First of all, the kitchen should have good knives. Invest once in quality appliances and enjoy for many years. It is very profitable to buy a set, besides, it looks more aesthetically pleasing than "discordance".

There must be at least three knives:

Chef's knife (length 20-25 cm) made of stainless steel. They can do a large number of jobs: chop, beat, cut meat, chop and chop.

A universal knife, or as it is also called “female” (13-16 cm long), covers a huge amount of kitchen work.

And a third paring knife (8-10 cm long). The only one where you can save a little and buy a little cheaper than the rest.

What you should pay attention to when choosing knives: the handle should lie as comfortably as possible in your hand, not slip, the knife should not be too light or heavy, also look at the length of the blade. And of course, study the reviews on the chosen brand - how long the blade remains sharp, how quickly and easily the knife cuts food. And ideally, in general, try everything with your own hand on testers.

Mixer

The main kitchen work for which a mixer is used is whipping and kneading dough. Now there are two main types of mixers - manual and stationary. If your kitchen is large, spacious and there is a free work surface, of course, opt for a stationary or otherwise planetary mixer. The only drawback is that the planetary mixer can only whip in its own bowl, and a manual mixer in almost any suitable dish.

What parameters should you pay attention to when choosing a mixer: power, speed modes, number of nozzles, handle convenience and weight - if it is a hand mixer. In the case of a planetary mixer, additionally study the material and volume of the bowl. It is very important.

Blender

The next device, without which it is difficult to imagine modern life, is a blender. With the help of blenders, a lot of dishes and drinks are now made: mashed soups, smoothies, sorbets and much more. Also, like mixers, blenders are divided into stationary and submersible.

Stationary blenders have their own bowl, but its volume is quite large. A great option for families who prepare a lot of cocktails, soups and other dishes. An immersion blender is more suitable for those who use this device not very often and cook in small portions.

What to look for when choosing a blender: power. If you plan to work with solid foods with a blender: process carrots or meat, chop ice, then buy with a power of at least 600-800 watts. Also see the number of modes, speeds and attachments. Well, the last important point is the material of the nozzles. A blender with a plastic nozzle is not recommended for grinding hot masses.

Scales

Today, of all types of scales, electronic ones are in priority. Electronic scales can be as simple as possible and give you only the weight of products, or they can be “fancy”: count food calories and much more. If this is important to you, then choose these. But this is a completely different price category.

Most electric scales have a weighing parameter from a few grams to 3 or 5 kg. If you are a fan of summer preparations, then make your choice in favor of scales with the ability to weigh up to 5 kg. The panel of scales happens push-button or touch. Also, scales come with a bowl or platform for weighing. In our opinion, the platform is much more convenient, you can put absolutely any dishes with products or the product itself on it and weigh it. With a bowl, there will no longer be such freedom, and if it is not yet removable, it will be extremely inconvenient to wash. There are still a lot of additional features that you should pay attention to. For example, very convenient functions are auto-off and tare weight reset.

Perhaps this is the basic minimum that every housewife needs to have in the kitchen in order to feel like a chef alone with products and recipes. Do not deny yourself the comfort and convenience!
