Exercise and exercise help detoxify the body. Toxins accumulate in the body mainly through food.
Detoxification and detoxifying supplements and programs have become very fashionable in recent years. Do we really need detoxification and why?
The term has become popular in recent years because of the conditions in which we live. Big cities are polluted, we breathe dirty air. The food we eat contains pesticides, nitrates and all sorts of chemicals. These are the reasons why we need to do detoxifying regimens for our body.
All these toxins that we ingest are the cause of reduced immune system functions and frequent illness, chronic diseases, weight gain, etc.
Detoxification is a process in which a person makes changes in their lifestyle to clear their body of toxins .
First steps of detoxification. The large intestine is the body's sewer system. Like all systems, it must be cleaned and maintained to work properly.
Daily consumption of processed foods containing large amounts of salt, preservatives, stabilizers, hydrogenated fats, dyes, etc. heavily strain the activity of the colon.
Eliminate processed foods from your diet or at least limit them and replace them with healthier foods such as fruits and vegetables, whole grains and legumes, etc. Such foods are rich in fiber. They play the role of a kind of brushes that clean the digestive system. They do not burden her, but support her activity.
At the heart of most detox programs is the consumption of organic products, raw fruits and vegetables and plenty of water.
What to avoid during detoxification? All kinds of processed foods - sausages, ready-made meatballs, kebabs, ham, chips, snacks, cereals, sugar, alcohol and caffeine. Some regimens also recommend stopping milk and dairy products and meat.
But such a diet can be followed only by a completely healthy person and for no longer than a week. Meat and dairy products are staple foods that provide us with important nutrients. Prolonged exclusion from the menu would lead to undesirable consequences.
Strict and prolonged fasting is not recommended in the detoxification regime. It can have the opposite effect.
To help detox, exercise. Exercise increases sweating, which is a major mechanism for detoxification.
