Boiled eggs, kozunak and lamb are the most used foods on the Resurrection of Christ. At the beginning of the holiday we start by eating the first boiled egg, and by the end of the day the number can reach 5-6. But this large amount of protein, in combination with other foods, has a negative effect on our diet. Therefore, nutritionists recommend not to overdo it with indiscriminate eating boiled eggs and other various delicacies. 


 

In addition to protein, eggs are a source of vitamins B and D , as well as minerals such as zinc, iron, copper and selenium . A number of studies have shown that the yolk of an average egg contains 186 ml of cholesterol or more than 60% of the recommended daily intake. Our body needs a large amount of cholesterol, which supports various processes in it, but still we should not overdo it. 

 

Many nutritionists differ on how many eggs a day we should eat to avoid health problems. The most common recommendations are to consume between 2 and 6 eggs a week . But we all know that at Easter the number grows because many days after the holiday we continue to eat the remaining eggs. That is why many experts specify that the most important thing is how the egg is prepared. If it is hard boiled , we should eat up to 3 a day. If it is loose - with a more liquid yolk and hard protein, then we can afford a little more. The raw yolk maintains the levels of good cholesterol in the blood. And when the heat treatment of the egg is greater, there are more complex changes in its chemical composition, which in turn harms our health in various forms. 

 

At Easter, we not only overdo it with eggs, but also with Easter cakes, alcohol and fatty meat. Every year there are cases of overeating, which have triggered kidney and pancreatic crises. Proper nutrition during the holidays and beyond is very important, especially for children, pregnant women and people with various health problems. If we want the weekend to go smoothly, we must follow a few basic rules. 

 

 

 

Breakfast is a very important meal - it can either make or break your day . We can abuse eating more at lunch, but breakfast should be healthy and filling with fiber, which will help digestion later. Also, as on other days, we should drink as much water as possible at Easter . The fluid protects the body from dehydration and also improves digestion. If we have "sharpened" the forks for lamb, it is recommended to eat some vegetables beforehand (for example, lettuce, spinach, Shopska). They will satiate us to some extent and will not allow us to overdo it with the greasy and sweet afterwards. Another important thing about eating is that we should not overdo the filling of the plates. Half of our portion should be with vegetables, ¼ with protein, it is good to consume about¼ Cereals for the day . And finally - time for Easter. If we eat the dough temptation in the morning, it will be hard for us, so it is better to try it at the end of lunch, after the main meal or for breakfast. Even if we take something sweet with it, our body will be able to process them easily.
