Eating in restaurants and other eateries carries the risk of gaining extra pounds, but in order not to avoid secular life with the help of special programs and strategies, it is possible to minimize it.

Eating in restaurants can reduce weight gain, according to a new study published in the journal Nutrition Education and Behavior.

Researchers studied 35 women aged 40-59 years. Twenty of them follow a six-week prevention program against excess weight while eating out. The other 16 are fed without adhering to the special program .

The results show that women in the first group are much stricter on the things they consume, after having thoroughly acquainted themselves with the content and consequences of their consumption. They lose about 2 kg over the period.

The program is designed specifically for eating outside the home, in order to expand the social contacts of women, without them worrying that it could harm their physique .

An important condition is to divide the portion into two, and one half can be given to the partner or friend with whom you have dinner. People prone to obesity are advised to find out in advance about the energy content of the food offered in the restaurant.
