Often obese people are advised to eat more often and with smaller portions, considering the weight loss process. However, a new study shows that this approach is just a myth and that it is in no way beneficial for losing extra pounds.

Australian nutritionists have applied the method among 179 obese patients. Some of them ate 3 times a day, and for another part three additional snacks were added in order to speed up the metabolism. No weight loss was registered.
