Emotional Eating - How To Limit It?

Emotional eating can lead to more calories and weight gain, and in trying to lose them, we resort to other dietary mistakes.

The desire to eat certain foods is sometimes due to a good memory or emotion. In these cases, the food consumed is not only tastier, but can be quite harmful to our body circumference.

Emotional eating can lead to more calories and weight gain, and in trying to lose them we resort to other dietary mistakes.

Sometimes in pleasant company, captivated by the momentary emotions, even full, we can order additional food that is consumed by our diners.

The reason is due to the release of more "happy" hormones, which predispose to peace and joy. Then we forget about negative thoughts like "I can't eat this", "it's not healthy", "I'm going to gain weight".

Those "thought stoppers" that act 100% in other situations in the given are ineffective.

Another emotion that can provoke us to resort to unhealthy eating is the fear of social contact and the feeling of security. This causes misjudgment and creates the idea that if we are overweight we will avoid awkward conversations and other people entering our personal space.

Such thinking is completely wrong, experts explain, due to the fact that it is caused by an emotion, which over time may disappear. Then, however, the problem of overweight and lack of social contacts will arise.

Negative emotions are also the number one enemy, leading to obesity. Upset by an event, we resort to the consumption of unhealthy and large amounts of food. In combination with the released stress hormones, digestion is disrupted and the only effect of food is the accumulation of extra pounds.

It is desirable for everyone to be aware of the risks of unhealthy eating and to limit the emotional aspect during meals. To a large extent, this will reduce the risk of obesity and weight gain, experts in the field added.
