Therefore, in winter, special attention should be paid to ensuring that the number of meals for a schoolchild is at least 4-5 times a day. If the child has problems with the work of the gastrointestinal tract, then the number of meals should be at least 5-6 times a day.
It is important to have breakfast at any time of the year, but in winter it is especially necessary for a child's body. But in the morning, the child may have no appetite. The most common reason for this is lack of sleep. A child should sleep at least 8-9 hours a day, then, most likely, his body will "want" to receive a morning portion of food. Therefore, make sure that in the evening your child does not "hang out" late on the Internet or in front of the TV.
Winter food should be more caloric, but at the same time it should contain a complete set of all the substances needed by the body. How to adjust a schoolboy's diet so that in the winter time he receives all the necessary substances and "supplies" the body with the required amount of energy?
It is better to start the morning with porridge. But you should not feed your schoolboy instant cereals. It is better to spend a little more time and prepare porridge from cereals that have not undergone preliminary heat treatment. You can also enrich breakfast with fruits and nuts.
Meat and fish dishes are best given for lunch. It is good to combine meat dishes with vegetable dishes. In addition, it is optimal to have hot first courses at lunch.
But in the evening, it is best to include fermented milk products in the menu. Cheese dishes are good for this.
Despite the fact that in winter the child's body needs proteins and fats more than usual, it is not necessary to include a large number of fatty fried foods in the schoolboy's diet. Such a large amount can harm a child. Try to exclude sausages and smoked sausages from the menu, avoid products with a large number of dyes, flavors, preservatives and other food additives.
If there is no opportunity to have a full meal at school and your student is not fed hot meals, you need to come up with a snack for him. For this, sandwiches with baked meat and fish, as well as with cheese, can be given with cheese and yogurt.
