Due to its calcium content and the combination of calcium and potassium, figs are a fruit that should be included in any diet aimed at maintaining healthy bones . The presence of potassium counteracts the excretion of calcium in the urine due to increased salt consumption, which reduces the risk of osteoporosis in a pleasant way for our receptors.
