The decorative technique of folding napkins in the shape of hares will come in handy for any holiday for serving and decorating the table. Especially such hares are relevant during the Easter holidays.
Traditionally, hares belong to the Easter festival in Western Europe. Folding napkins in the shape of a hare is not difficult at all. It is recommended to take napkins with a size of at least 50x50, so that the hares in the end do not look too tiny. Let's look at a detailed example.
Step 1
We put a napkin measuring at least 50x50 cm (must be square) on the table. We divide the height of the napkin into 3 identical parts. We use a ruler for accuracy. Thus, at 50x50, one third will be about 16.5 mm. We draw lines from ribbons or mentally precisely on these 1/3 of the height of the napkins. There will be folds here.
Step 2
We wrap the bottom 1/3 of the napkin up, and the top 1/3 down. The photo shows the remaining ribbons that were in the folds. One ribbon will remain inside, and the other outside, that is, nearby.
Step 3
Take out the ribbons. We mentally draw a perpendicular straight line in the middle of the length of the napkin (in the photo for visualization - a red felt-tip pen). Thus, we got 2 segments from the red felt-tip pen, one to the right, the second segment to the left of the red one. Now from the middle (red felt-tip pen perpendicular to the line) we measure the middle of the left segment and the middle of the right segment along the lower edge. We connect the point of the middle of the left segments with a red felt-tip pen along the upper edge with ribbons. We do the same with the right segment. The ribbons will be the lines for folding the napkin.
Step 4
We bend along the ribbon-lines of the fold of the side of the napkin from below in this way.
Step 5
Flip the napkin over to the other side.
Step 6
We put the ribbons on both sides so that visually the ribbon divides the side perpendicular to the corner (like a bisector at a right angle). Ribbons-places of folds of a napkin. We wrap along the "bisector" - ribbons on each side from above. The edges of the sides must match.
Step 7
Again we draw a bisector-ribbon from the corner to the middle of the upper edging. Wrap the side of the napkin up again. The edges must match.
Step 8
Thus, we get such a napkin. The spoon here in the photo serves as a fixative to keep the sides from turning around.
Step 9
Turn the napkin over to the other side and top to bottom, that is, 180 °.
Step 10
We wrap the bottom end of the napkin up - this will be the tail. The spoon in the photo is holding the napkin.
Step 11
We turn the right and lower corners of the napkin away from ourselves and connect. Fasten with a pin. A little pull on the ears - the upper ends and the tail.
Step 12
Everything! Our bunny napkin is ready. We serve to the table.
A napkin is an essential attribute of any meal. The napkin will protect from getting grease on clothes, from splashes and crumbs. And if in everyday life we are not particularly worried about how napkins are folded, and we fold them in a simple triangle or rectangle, then on the festive table, we even try to fold napkins very beautifully. It is especially pleasant when the napkins are folded in such a way that they complement the serving of the entire table, make up a single whole with it.
We offer you to learn how to fold dolls from napkins with your own hands. Such napkins are suitable for table setting on a children's birthday, as well as when setting a table in a rustic style or for Maslenitsa.
Step 1
For work, we need a square cloth napkin.
Step 2
Fold the top and bottom edges of the napkin towards the center so that 1/3 of the napkin in the center remains free.
Step 3
Place a spoon in the center of the napkin. Bend the top and bottom corner of the left side of the napkin.
Step 4
Roll up the left edge of the napkin to the spoon.
Step 5
Do the same with the right edge of the napkin.
Step 6
Turn over the napkin.
Step 7
Fold the top edge of the napkin down 1/3 of its length.
Step 8
Straighten the napkin. Insert cutlery into the hole from above. Napkin Shrovetide doll is ready!
