Habits That Cause Excess Weight

There are many habits that lead to fullness, and there is only one solution to the problem - healthy food and sports.

There are many habits that lead to fullness, and there is only one solution to the problem - healthy food and sports.

Often the cause of fullness is not "bad genetics" or hormonal failures at all. As a rule, we do not give ourselves a report that extra kilograms have appeared because of the lifestyle we lead. Let's get acquainted with the most dangerous habits, due to which we are forced to buy clothes a size larger.

Irregular nutrition

Did you miss breakfast, but do you want to make up for it at lunch? A few weeks in this mode and the metabolism begins to fail. Long breaks between meals put the body into an economic mode, as a result of which it uses less energy. In addition, taking large portions after a long break leads to caloric overload, and a significant part of the consumed energy is stored in the body in the form of fat deposits.

Nutritionists advise to eat often, but in small portions, taking into account the calorie content of the food consumed. If you want to have a snack, give preference to low-fat cheese, kefir, vegetables and unsweetened fruits.

Fast eating

This is one of the most harmful habits that lead to excess weight. As you know, the satiety hormone ghrelin begins to be produced only 15-20 minutes after eating. If you eat very quickly, the satiety center in the brain will have time to receive a signal only after you have eaten a very large portion of food. According to some studies, fast eating leads to the fact that a person eats about a quarter more than the portion that would satisfy his needs. Therefore, take food slowly and chew it thoroughly.

"Eating" stress

Often in a bad mood, anxiety and technical nervous situations, we eat the problem, and often all kinds of sweets act as "soothings": chocolate, ice cream, cookies... As a result, after several stressful situations, the scales put on a couple of extra kilograms, which is not happy at all.

An excellent alternative to sweets during stress is sport. If you are nervous, do physical work. This is a great diversionary maneuver. Physical work neutralizes the harmful effects of stress hormones and burns calories.

Treats in a prominent city

If in your house there is always a vase with candies and other sweets on the table, then this, as a rule, leads to unmotivated consumption of them, when there is actually no feeling of hunger. If you can't do without sweets, then replace sweets with fruits, or in extreme cases with dried fruits. But keep in mind that dried fruits (dates, figs, dried apricots, etc.) are also high in calories, and you should not indulge in them.

Craving junk food

Another reason for gaining extra pounds is a passion for semi-finished products and fast food. Canned foods, frozen foods, and sausages are sources of a large amount of carbohydrates, fats, salt, and all kinds of food additives that slow down the metabolism.

If you want to have a slim figure, then switch to a healthy diet. For this, you do not need to follow a special diet or starve yourself. Just try that the food you prepared was made from natural ingredients without the addition of sauces and other additives.

Feast

You have many friends, and you often have to attend birthdays, christenings and other occasions for feasting. Unfortunately, the only way to solve the problem here is self-control. During the festive meal, eat more salads and fruits, and lean less on fatty foods, sweets and alcohol. By the way, alcohol is also a serious enemy of your waistline. Getting into the body, alcohol turns into sugar, which is soon deposited in the form of fatty deposits in problem areas.
