Healing diet № 7B is recommended for acute nephritis after adherence to diet № 7A (18 - 20 days of treatment), designed to be followed for the same health problem.

7B is used in chronic nephritis with edema, high blood pressure, but with preserved renal function.

The diet contains fats and carbohydrates within physiological standards, but the protein is increased to 40 - 45 grams by adding a portion of cooked meat or fish and 200 milliliters of milk or kefir.

Regarding the choice of products and their culinary processing, remember the healing diet № 7A , they are similar. Feeding should be 5-6 times a day.

 

Purpose of the diet:

  • sparing kidney function;
  • removing nitrogenous slags from the body and preventing their accumulation in the blood.

 

Recommended food products:

  • corn or wheat starch bread;
  • vegetarian vegetable soups;
  • lean meats and fish: beef, veal, chicken; fish to be cooked and can replace meat; chicken - once a day.
  • cooked or roasted vegetables;
  • milk and dairy products : kefir, whole milk, cream, cottage cheese;
  • eggs: no more than 1 per day in the form of a protein omelet or as a supplement to meals;
  • sauces: white, tomato sauces, without protein; sweet fruit sauces; meat, mushroom and fish decoctions and sauces are not allowed;
  • all fats except tallow and lard.

 

Prohibited food products:

  • cheese and yellow cheese;
  • cereals;
  • legumes;
  • Pasta;
  • salted and pickled vegetables, pickles;
  • spinach , sorrel;
  • cauliflower;
  • mushrooms;
  • garlic ;
  • turnips;
  • chocolate;
  • lactic acid;
  • ice cream.

 

About the menu:

 

  • First breakfast: vegetable salad seasoned with vegetable fat, rice pudding with apples, tea.
  • Breakfast: grated raw carrots with sugar.
  • Lunch: vegetable soup, boiled chicken in milk sauce, boiled potatoes, oshav .
  • Afternoon snack: decoction of wheat bran with sugar.
  • Dinner: soft-boiled egg, apple cakes, tea.
  • Evening: fruit juice.
