Healthy Foods We Should Not Eat

Choose to buy meat and fish only from reliable sources if you want to get all the useful substances characteristic of them.

Drinking our fruit juice for the day, we feel satisfied that we have supplied the body with only the most useful vitamins and what not. This is not really the case.

Here are some of the foods we think are good, but the truth is different

Fruit juice.

Recent studies say that fruit juices are as harmful as fizzy drinks or almost as harmful if you drink juices very often. Consider that drinking 400 ml of juice, you take at least 4 oranges of medium size in just a few minutes. In addition, the juice is deprived of valuable fiber, which is contained throughout the fruit. A study conducted in 2014 showed that the fructose content of 1 liter of juice is 45.5 g. For carbonated beverages, it is 50 g per 1 liter. Fructose is processed in the liver. Excess is converted into fat

Soy protein.

Much of the soy that is produced is genetically modified for greater resilience. Prolonged use of soy protein can cause allergies, exacerbation of asthma, hypothyroidism, kidney problems.
Globally, soybean cultivation is associated with the use of pesticides, which are found in significant amounts in the final product.

Salmon, tilapia and other artificially reared fish. The nutrients in fish raised in this way are many times less than in fish that lived in their natural environment. A 2016 study shows that omega 3 fatty acid levels in farmed salmon are up to 5 times lower than they were 5 years ago. The reason for this is the low quality food with which the fish is raised. A study from the University of Albany, New York, shows the presence of toxins up to 11 times more in farmed salmon compared to wild salmon. In November 2015, the US Food Agency approved the sale of genetically modified salmon, but no requirements were created to oblige the producer to indicate this on the label.

Popcorn from the microwave.

Popcorn is one of the most popular products of young and old. As delicious as popcorn cooked for 2 minutes in the microwave is, they are full of questionable ingredients. But what is the main problem? The inside of the popcorn bag is covered with chemicals that can cause many diseases. Another problem is the artificial additives that give the aroma of oil (diacetyl). Inhalation of large amounts of them can cause lung problems. And the amount of salt they contain is enormous! The next time you feel like popcorn, make it with real butter in the pan. They will be tastier and healthier.

Meat is grown on farms.

We eat what animals are fed. In most farms, animals are fed hormones and foods raised with pesticides. Surveys from 2012 conducted on farms across Europe give shocking facts. Prohibited antibiotics, allergens, painkillers and even antidepressants have been found in chicken. Farmers spend about £ 30 million a year on antibiotics. Therefore, always prefer meat from a reliable source

Margarine.

Years ago, the myth of how useful margarine is was debunked. The fact is that even today it is used by many households and restaurants. The basic idea was that margarine is poorer in saturated fats, which reduce the risk of heart disease. We must pay attention to trans fats, which are in large quantities in margarine. We know that they are the cause of over 50,000 heart attacks, annually, worldwide. Trans fats are the cause of triggering type 2 diabetes and a number of other diseases. What is the conclusion? Prefer butter or Ghee over margarine, no matter how healthy it may seem.

Cooking salt.

Some call her the white killer. Undoubtedly, unsalted food is tasteless, but do not overdo it. It is well known that salt is the number one cause of high blood pressure. Salt in its natural form does not cause as much damage. Until it reaches us, the salt is processed with chemicals and high temperatures. Naturally contained iodine is destroyed, therefore the salt is artificially enriched with potassium iodide, which can reach toxic doses. Celtic sea salt and Himalayan salt can be used as healthier alternatives.

Artificial sweeteners.

Being with a low glycemic index, they are designed for diabetics. Ironically, recent research shows that regular use of sweeteners disrupts the normal intestinal flora, which can provoke diabetes. Prolonged use of artificial sweeteners can cause allergies, obesity and many other diseases.
