How to prepare the recipe with hot peppers and rice
In a large saucepan, place the olive oil to heat. Add the onion and garlic and after they slightly change color to yellow, put the chopped peppers and chili in flakes. This mixture is stewed for about 5 minutes.
Then add the rice along with the orange and lemon juice and water, red pepper powder, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat. The dish is boiled for about 17 minutes until the rice is fully cooked.
You can use cumin, black pepper or oregano depending on your preferences.
Brown rice can be replaced with bulgur, millet, wheat, rye.
