  • 1/2 cup white crystal sugar
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 1 vanilla pod, cut in half lengthwise
  • 3 eggs, at room temperature
  • 2/3 tea cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons dark rum
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream fry, at room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 apples, peeled and cut into circles
  • 200 grams of sliced figs

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat to 220 degrees.

Grease a rectangular ceramic pan with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Combine the granulated sugar with the lemon zest in a bowl. Add the vanilla pod seeds inside and mix well with your fingers.

Beat the eggs with a mixer until fluffy and add the milk without stopping the mixer. Once combined, pour the rum. Add the fragrant white sugar, whipped cream, sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Let the dough rest while you prepare the apples.

Arrange the apple rings in a large pan and bake until caramelized, about 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool to slightly above body temperature.

Put most of them in the greased pan in which you will bake the dessert. Add a few of the figs, again keeping a small portion of them.

Carefully pour the dough over the fruit and arrange the remaining figs and apples on top.

Reduce the oven temperature to 185 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Cool the cake completely before serving.
