Required products :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lukewarm water
  • 1 packet of instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3/4 tea cup liquid honey
  • 3 tablespoons rapeseed oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 5-7 teaspoons of flour
  • 3 medium-sized apples
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

For spreading :

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method of preparation :

  • In a deep bowl, mix 1/4 tea cup of lukewarm water with the yeast. Stir and let the mixture stand for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the remaining water, sugar, egg, yolks, honey, canola oil, vanilla and salt. Stir.
  • Gradually add the flour and knead a smooth, elastic dough, adding more flour if necessary.
  • Transfer the dough to a clean bowl, which you have previously greased with rapeseed oil and cover it with a clean cotton cloth.
  • Put the bowl with the dough in the middle of the oven, and at the bottom put a pot of boiling water without a lid.
  • Close the oven and leave the dough to rise for 1 hour.
  • Remove the dough from the bowl, hit it several times on a clean surface to release air bubbles and leave it to rise for another hour.
  • During this time, clean, peel and cut the apples into small cubes. Put them in a large bowl with cold water and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • When the dough is ready, drain the water, carefully dry the apples with kitchen paper and sprinkle them with 1/4 teaspoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • Flour a clean and smooth surface and lightly knead the dough on it.
  • Divide it into 8 equal parts and form a rectangle from each using a rolling pin.
  • Distribute the apples along their length and close the edges, forming a roll.
  • Lightly roll with your hands to an approximate length of 40-45 centimeters and form pointed edges. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  • Knit the cake as shown in the photos and transfer it to a tray covered with baking paper.
  • Spread generously with the mixture of egg, salt and water and bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. Grease it again in the middle of baking.
  • When the cake turns golden brown, cover it with foil and return it to the oven.
  • Allow it to cool completely before serving.
