Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 3 tea cups white flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar (crystal or powder, you can use more if you prefer sweeter)
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 250 grams of butter (cold)
  • 1-2 teaspoons baking powder

For the cream:

  • 1-1.5 kg of sweet and sour apples
  • 4-5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3-4 tablespoons semolina
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 700 milliliters of fresh cow's milk

Method of preparation :

Sift the flour, add the powdered sugar, baking powder, chopped cold butter and egg yolks.

Knead the dough quickly, because the products do not need to be heated. Divide it into two parts, one larger than the other.

Wrap them in plastic wrap and put in the freezer for half an hour.

While the dough cools, cover the pan with a sheet of parchment and spread it. Then spread most of the dough on the bottom and bake for 10 minutes in the already preheated oven. Remove the marshmallows to cool, and in the meantime make the filling.

Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. Stew them on low heat for a few minutes. When soft, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Once caramelized, remove the pan from the heat.

It's time for the cream.

Pour the milk into the pan, put it on the fire and as soon as it boils, pour the semolina thoroughly and stir so that no lumps form.

Sweeten to taste, add the vanilla. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the cream to cool slightly.

Next is the assembly of the dessert.

Spread the caramel apple pieces on the baked base and cover them with cream. Remove the rest of the dough from the freezer and immediately grate it on top.

Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees.

Serve the dessert sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Enjoy your meal!
