Required products :

For swamps :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • a pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons apples, cut into small cubes

For garnish :

  • 1 1/2 tea cups homemade caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon walnuts, chopped in bulk

Method of preparation :

 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and move the grill to the middle.
  • Cover with baking paper a tray measuring approximately 23/33 cm. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, sift the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract with a mixer.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  • Add the dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula without overdoing it.
  • Add the apple cubes and stir again.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Allow the marsh to cool briefly before removing it from the pan.
  • Garnish richly with homemade caramel sauce, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and cut into squares.
  • Serve with a smile!
