Necessary products:

  • 1.5 kilograms of apples
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 tea cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup almond flakes
  • 1/2 cup sweetened coconut shavings
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation:

Cut the apples into small pieces, put them in a bowl and add the lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar, starch and salt. Stir and pour the mixture into a baking dish, distributing it evenly. Melt the butter with honey in a pan, add the flour, oats, almonds, coconut and salt. Stir and put a layer of this combination on the apples. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 45-55 minutes until the apples are soft. If the dish starts to toast a lot on top, cover with foil, which you remove towards the end of cooking. Store the casserole in the refrigerator after it has cooled enough. A great addition to it that you can serve is yogurt (or cream).
