Required products :

  • 6 - 7 large apples

 

For syrup:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 250 grams of sugar
  • 100 milliliters of vinegar
  • 5 - 6 grains of allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • mustard seeds, cloves - optional

Method of preparation :

Wash the apples, cut them into pieces, clean the core with the seeds. Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes, then remove the fruit, in the same liquid add sugar, spices, vinegar and bring to a boil.

Arrange the apples in jars, pour the boiling syrup, put lids on the dishes, but do not close. Pasteurize for 10 - 15 minutes, then close with lids, turn the jars upside down, wrap in a blanket and leave until cool.
