How To Cook Ashure With Hazelnuts, Oranges And Cinnamon - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Ashure with hazelnuts, oranges and cinnamon". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon ground wheat / wheat
  • 1/2 teaspoon beans
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 200 grams of dried apricots
  • 200 grams of raisins
  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 1 orange
  • orange peel to taste
  • 3 liters of water
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • pomegranate seeds to taste
  • cinnamon and walnuts to taste

Method of preparation :

Pour cold water chickpeas, beans and wheat. Leave them to stand overnight, and boil them the next day (separately, because each culture requires a different time for heat treatment).

When they are ready, mix them in a large saucepan.

Put the cloves in another pot of water, which you place on the stove. When it boils, pour half a glass of the liquid into the bowl with the legumes (do not add the beans to the spice).

Add the finely chopped dried fruits, stir and leave the combination on the stove for another 15 minutes.

Then sweeten with sugar and add finely chopped orange peel to taste, pieces of orange (you can use other fruits, such as apple or tangerine), the remaining spices and cook everything for five minutes. Then turn off the stove, close the pot with a lid and leave until the ashura cools down a bit.

Once this is done, divide it into dessert bowls, garnish with walnuts and hazelnuts, pomegranate seeds, sprinkle with cinnamon and you can serve immediately.

Enjoy your meal!
